Meet our Family Education Staff

Wendy Burgess , ECD Level II, Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program Facilitator and Certified Parent-Child Mother Goose Program Teacher.  Wendy has been involved in working with children as well as learning through continued education relevant to families and children since 1986.  She has worked extensively with children through her work as an educational assistant at schools both in Teslin and Whitehorse as well as 5 years operating a family dayhome, and through City of Whitehorse recreational programs.  She has also worked with Yukon College facilitating Early Childhood Development courses.   Besides these professional experiences Wendy is the mother of 4 children ranging from preteen to young adulthood.
Wendy joined Many Rivers in 2005 and since then has become a Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program facilitator as well as a Certified Parent-Child Mother Goose program teacher.
She coordinates the Nobody’s Perfect program and the Parent-Child Mother Goose Programs at Many Rivers.
Wendy enjoys meeting with parents by phone, in person or through parenting programs; helping parents to realize that we all have strength within and accessing those strengths helps one to become the parent they strive to be.
