In partnership with the public health nurses and Healthy Family support workers, Healthy Families provides in-home assistance and education, through regular home visits, to support families in being the best parents possible for their infants, so they receive the care and stimulation so crucial to their long-term well being and healthy development.
The program also helps and supports parents in adapting to life with an infant and learning necessary skills to care for the child.
The Healthy Families Yukon program is designed to provide one-to-one support for parents of newborns. The program goals are to:- enhance family functioning
